Stand The Man - Personal Branding
Overview
"Stand The Man" is a personal branding website built for a professional Master of Ceremonies (MC). The primary objective of this project was not just to display a portfolio, but to create a digital hub that expands the client's market reach and simplifies the booking process for potential organizers.
Key Focus: SEO & Reach
Unlike internal dashboards where functionality is key, the success of this project was measured by Visibility.
1. SEO-First Approach
To ensure the client could be found by a wider audience, I prioritized Search Engine Optimization (SEO) from the ground up.
- Strategy: I utilized WordPress's robust SEO ecosystem to optimize meta tags, keywords, and content structure.
- Accessibility: Ensuring the site structure was semantic and readable by search engine crawlers, allowing the client to rank higher for keywords related to event hosting and MC services.
2. Client-Centric Content Management
I chose WordPress and Elementor specifically to empower the client.
- Since an MC's portfolio (events, photos, testimonials) changes frequently, building a custom-coded site would have created a dependency on a developer for every small update.
- This solution provides the client with an intuitive interface to update their own content, ensuring the website stays fresh and relevant without technical bottlenecks.
Tech Stack
- WordPress: Chosen for its dominance in SEO performance and ease of content management.
- Elementor: Used to craft a visually engaging, responsive design that captures the energy of the MC's persona.
Conclusion
This project demonstrates my ability to choose the "Right Tool for the Job." While I am capable of full-stack coding, I understand that sometimes a CMS is the superior business solution when the goals are speed-to-market, SEO dominance, and client autonomy.
